Anthony Girifalco is Executive Vice President of DVIRC, and has been with the company since its founding in 1988. He has multiple roles with the organization, including planning and executing corporate strategy, developing programs and services, conducting research, and coordinating and writing proposals for the Center and its partners.
For over 30 years, he has provided research and information services to companies, managed marketing and public relations activities, written state and federal funding proposals and reports, performed legislative communications, developed company networks, and managed a regional economic development partnership that leveraged over $20 million in state and federal funding into the region. He continues to be a recognized leader in workforce development and education. He has authored or co-authored winning proposals to the U.S. Department of Labor, Commerce and Energy and is currently serving as Principal Investigator for a National Science Foundation award. He collaborates with area educational institutions, and has helped to create and manage the Applied Engineering Technology education initiative to develop a career pathway for advanced manufacturing.
Tony holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree from Georgetown University. He is currently the Board Char for the 21st Century Partnership for STEM Education, and recently served on the Board of the Pennsylvania Economic Development Association.
