The Science Center is now accepting applications for our Building an Understanding of Lab Basics (BULB) Spring 2023 program.
This 4-week hybrid program aims to engage and expose more Philadelphia residents to the diversity of career opportunities in the Life Science industry. Participants will learn basic laboratory and financial literacy skills from incredible instructors at eCLOSE Institute, Harrisburg University, and Citizens. Successful graduates will receive a stipend, laptop, access to online materials, and a STEM mentor to enhance their professional network.
Requirements for applying: Applicant MUST have a high school diploma or GED equivalency.

Requirements
- Greater Philadelphia resident
- High school diploma or GED
- An interest in science, technology, engineering, and/or math
- 18 years of age or older
- Access to a computer and internet connection
- Basic computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
